2.2.9.6. Important to know

 

Creating provisions automatically with MagiCAD Provision for Builderswork enables automatic size optimization. Automatic size optimization is also available for some products with reservations.

 

When firestop products are inserted to the project, provision sizes will automatically change according to selected products. provisions are optimized so that firestop products can be installed according to approvals while keeping material consumption in minimum. 

 

When firestop product has been defined and configured through Hilti Firestop for BIM, product related information will be added to element of provision. This Hilti-information allows user to use Revit dynamic filtering for example to use color coding for provisions with and without firestop products.

If new provisions are created or existing ones will be changed after inserting the firestop product, please keep in mind that tool recognizes that conditions for the existing provisions have been changed. This is due the defined firestop solutions and automatic provision size optimization. When running MagiCAD Provision for Builderswork, please select “skip” as action for those provisions that do not need changing.

 

If penetrations are moved or penetration services will be changed (e.g., pipe size, material, insulation), please delete outdated firestop objects and run Hilti Firestop for BIM to configure firestop products again. Please note, if all provisions are selected, Hilti Firestop for BIM will analyze provisions for voids and delete outdated products if it detects changes related provision conditions or penetrating MEP elements. In this case user can define new firestop products. 

 

If firestop product needs to be changed, please delete firestop object in question. Select empty provision and run Hilti Firestop for BIM again to select different product for penetration. Please note that when firestop product is deleted, the provision will still contain Hilti product information. If new firestop product is added to the provision in question, Hilti product information will be overwritten. Otherwise, information should be deleted manually.    

 

Please note that it is user’s responsibility to make sure that selected firestop solutions meet the ETA approval requirements.
