Insert products command opens Hilti Firestop for BIM application which enables user to define and configure firestop solutions for created provisions and insert products to Revit project. Please see chapter Insert Products for Void if your project has existing voids.

Launch Hilti Firestop for BIM

Confirm and fill in basic information for all penetrations and select firestop solutions to insert objects to model
Hilti Firestop for BIM can be used for single, multiple or for all projects provisions. It is also possible to first launch Hilti Firestop for BIM and then select the provisions. Please note, if no provisions is selected, tool automatically selects all provisions for voids from the project. Launch Hilti Firestop for BIM tool from MagiCAD Connect tab.
 Floorsl penetrations are shown on the left and grouped as floor and wall penetrations. The number of penetrations and configured penetrations is shown in headline.

 PenetrationsAll different penetrations with imported information are shown separately on the left. If there are identical penetrations, those are merged as one group which allows user to select one product for similar penetrations. If basic information is changed by the user, original imported data is shown in brackets.

 InformationAll basic information from selected penetration will be imported to the tool. Confirm and fill in missing information and select the most suitable solution for your project.

 ProductsTool suggests 1-3 fire tested and ETA approved firestop solutions based on received information. Products are selected by the user.

 Selected productSelected firestop solution will be shown on the right.

 Download detail drawingsAfter all penetrations have been evaluated and suitable firestop solutions selected, user can download detail drawings in .pdf or .dwg format. Please note that drawings can be downloaded also later when working in Revit with View Products Details command.

 Save defined products (Inserts into project)Save defined products will insert product and solution specific BIM objects to provisions in question. Software will inform user about the number of inserted products. Provision sizes will be automatically changed based on selected products if provisions will be created to structures on in case of reservations with certain type of products which requires a size adjustment.
