2.2.2.1.2. Import AHU

 
In this "New unit"-section does the user set the selection criteria and choose an air handling unit based on these criteria.
When logging in as a guest you will be linked to the "New Project"-section where you set the information of the project and can then start editing the new unit.
If you are a registered user you will first see the "Projects"-section where you can set the information of mutliple projects.

The user can set unit information: Unit name, quantity of the units in the project and notes for unit.
 
If you have selected the Life Cycle Costs to be calculated then additional information about the costs should be set:

Selection criteria

2. Selection criteria
 
The user can set the search criteria for the unit and even search for units by the name or the product number.
The duct information part includes the air flow and pressure drop values from the user selected supply and extract ducts.
 
When the user changes the "Connection side" the selected unit is preserved, but not if the user changes any other selection criteria.
 
NOTICE: If the user has skipped the duct selection or duct network has not been balanced, then the values are missing.
Home, Away and Boost - the user must define the supply and extract air flows and working hours for each of these.
 
Rules on how the air flow and pressure drop values are read from the ducts and sent to the selection tool:
     
-The airflow value is read from the supply and extract duct and the value is passed to the supply and extract input field.
          
-If the pressure drop of the supply and outdoor ducts are calculated with MagiCAD and
  • if only the supply duct is selected in MagiCAD, then this value is visible in the supply pressure drop field.
  • if both ducts are selected in MagiCAD, then the summed value is visible in the supply pressure drop field.
 
-If the pressure drop of the extract and exhaust ducts are calculated with MagiCAD and
  • if only the extract duct is selected in MagiCAD, then this value is visible in extract pressure drop field.
  • if both ducts are selected in MagiCAD, then the summed value is visible in supply pressure drop field.
 
The user can filter the available air handling units in the chart by typing in the required airflow and pressure drop in the ductwork.

To the left is a column chart with the units that fulfill the selection criteria set by the user. To the right is the air flow of the unit shown and you can switch between the supply and extract chart using the selection "Supply/Extract" at the bottom of the Selection criteria.

The active air handling unit can be changed by clicking unit model from the chart.
 
Supply air diagram
 
User can see the supply air flow diagram for the selected working point (blue circle mark). User may change the working point by clicking the diagram and see the results straight away.

This is the same as for the project. Here you print out the information about the products in the project.

Here the user selects how the product should be exported.

Exported the 3D model in a separate file in AutoCAD's DXF-format

Exported the 3D model  in a separate file in the respective Revit RFA-formats
