Wide products can be inserted in to MagiCAD for Revit and also into plain Revit. Before inserting the product to the project make sure that you have the floor plan view selected in Revit.
Revit
If Connect is installed on plain Revit, then the product is inserted directly into the project.
MagiCAD for Revit
After the Insert button is clicked the product Dataset Properties dialog is opened. Insert the User code, 2D symbol and the other relevant properties for the product. After that click the OK button.
After this the MagiCAD Product Selection dialog is opened. Here the user will select the product which will be inserted to Revit model.
When product is added to MagiCAD for Revit or plain Revit, the family symbol and instance will be created and after that user is able to place the instance to the floor plan. The user can rotate the instance and place multiple instances. The Insert command is ended with ESC button.
After user has placed the product instance to Revit, it will be connected to duct network.
In MagiCAD for Revit, the user can run the Ventilation Balancing Calculation which can be found from Revit MagiCAD Ventilation tab and Calculation button.
After the button is clicked, the Balancing Calculation Options dialog is opened in MagiCAD. The user selects to run the calculation for a branch or a network.
After the calculation the Ventilation Network Calculation Report dialog will be shown.
Update the balancing calculation results to network with the “OK – Update to model” button.
